How do you play?: Two arrows to move, one big JUMP button. That is the whole game.
How do you use a vine?: Walk out to the end of a branch and jump. If a vine handle is hanging there you will grab it and swing up and across to another tree. Staying in the middle of a branch means you climb normally instead.
My child keeps losing their climb.: They should not be. Getting hit costs a banana, never your progress — the monkey hops back onto the last branch it stood on. If a hit is sending you back to the bottom, that is a bug and we would like to hear about it.
Is progress saved?: Yes. Your stretch, coins, upgrades and best climb are saved on the device automatically, including if the app is closed mid-climb.
There is no sound.: Check the sound button on the title screen. The game plays through the Ring/Silent switch, so it should still be audible with the phone on silent — if it is not, please tell us.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?: No. None, and no internet connection is needed. You pay once and that is it.
What ages is it for?: It was built by a dad and his nine-year-old daughter for kids of all ages. There are no timers, no way to lose everything, and nothing to read.
